Well,

we got about fifteen hours left of

quarterfinals.

We're going to talk about it next.

what is going on everybody welcome to

sunday sunday sunday night crossfit talk

and we are live on a sunday night

as always here to talk with you about

all the events of the weekend and it

is crazy crazy crazy quarterfinals um

It with,

with them releasing the workouts on Monday

and having to wait all the way till

Thursday to really get into the workouts

and see what people are doing and all

of that kind of stuff.

It, it had such a buildup.

I think it kind of met it.

I think it kind of met the buildup.

And we're going to talk about that in

a little bit, but man,

how was your weekend guys?

Nothing going on.

Nothing going on.

Yep.

Nothing on my plate.

Pretty easy weekend.

Uh, you know, no,

I mean just basically quarterfinals

judging people a lot this weekend, uh,

cheering for people this weekend.

And then this afternoon I went to watch

a PWHL game.

So the professional women's hockey league,

um,

Did I see the men's Wisconsin team made

the Frozen Four?

You did.

Yep,

we're going to go two for two this

year in hockey.

I don't think that's happened since,

I want to say, maybe both teams won.

It's pretty rare.

So fingers crossed that they can get it

done,

but happy to see them in the Frozen

Four.

Took down my Spartans.

Wisconsin is back for men's hockey.

Boo.

Yeah.

We're going to talk about the tournament

here.

Well, let's talk about the tournament now.

I have nobody left there.

I have nothing left.

Now you're talking about basketball.

I didn't get a single,

single piece of the men's frozen or

frozen.

I think I'm at the bottom.

Like, I think I got everything wrong.

Zilch, nitch, none.

Duke losing tonight, I guess,

and I missed the final shot.

I guess it was one of the greatest

shots in tournament history.

They lost two, and I totally missed that.

And I have the leaderboard as it stands

currently.

Here is the men's.

And I did much better on the women's,

but we'll get to that in a second.

So currently, Trent Olive.

is in the lead,

but her Gators are gone.

Second is Chad Scott and he still has

the Arizona Wildcats.

Jay Burch lost Houston.

Blair Leadingham has Michigan.

And then there is Mr.

Aaron Latimer and he still has Arizona.

So you're saying there's a chance.

I think that's who I picked, too,

on the men's side.

Yeah, but Caroline, you're way down here.

She's beating me.

I'm not last, though.

Yeah, you're beating me, too, Jamie.

Yes!

I'm down here in the Andrews pen.

I'm sixth from the bottom.

That's pretty good.

You're fourth from the bottom.

Not last.

You're second.

And then just whisper from the bottom.

Oh, Vicky is yelling, and she should.

She's tied with Mr. Latimer.

Yep.

Where's that at?

I lost it now.

Actually, she's beating him by ten.

There we go.

She's tied with letting him.

Yeah, but she doesn't have the Gators.

The reason I skipped her is her team

is gone.

You're out, yeah.

So Aaron's probably going to be getting

some points on you.

So there it is.

Woman's side?

Yeah, how's the women's side?

And then on the women's side...

That's the one I care about.

We're still not doing well.

Oh, no.

I mean, we're tied, Carolyn.

So it's Jay Burch is in the lead,

and he's got Texas.

Then it's Eric Mackey, Carolyn Prevo,

and Jamie Latimer.

And you all have UConn.

I'm sitting here in the weeds,

ready to come back with my Gamecocks.

Second to last, but I'm on the move.

I'm ready to go.

Still got potential.

Two for two on second place.

To last, to last.

For you.

Yeah.

Just whisper it, that last part.

I hold the tournament for everybody.

I don't want to take the trophy from

the people.

People would think you'd be cheating.

Right.

Right.

So inside some inside stuff in there.

So I pick opposite of what I would

think.

And then so everybody else can get the

trophy.

I might try that next year.

It's got to go better than this.

Yeah, this was terrible.

Terrible.

So that's the tournament stuff from where

we stand.

Other than that,

it's been a kind of a crazy weekend.

I finished the Madison.

Yeah.

Taylor Sheridan's new show on Paramount+.

It's only six episodes.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell.

I really liked it.

It's very different than his other stuff.

It has all the emotions, laugh, cry,

the whole bit.

Highly recommend,

but it's not your typical like Yellowstone

or anything like that.

It,

it has a different vibe and a feel

for sure.

But really, really enjoyed it.

And then we watched the movie,

Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice and

with um oh vince vaughn and oh what's

the guy james marston okay and it was

i really really enjoyed it i don't know

how i would categorize the movie it is

it is quirky for sure it's got a

little sci-fi a little gangster a little

comedy

but I really enjoyed it,

but it doesn't really fit any kind of,

doesn't really fit any kind of genre and

it's a Hulu original.

Oh, okay.

Is it,

is it being promoted as a comedy or

what?

What does it say it is?

I don't, I, I don't, I don't know.

I mean,

there are some funny parts for sure, but,

Uh,

but it's got a little like John wickish

stuff to it.

It's got a little good fellas.

It's got a little, like,

it's just a little doctor who like,

it's just really out there and you really

have to kind of just go along with

it.

And then you, the past pretty good.

Interesting.

Um,

Corey said I did better than him.

He couldn't make it through the first

episode.

I would say the first episode is the

worst of the mass.

And yeah, and then it gets better.

On the first episode,

I just want to punch everybody.

Okay.

And then they get to be a little

bit more likable and they introduce some

more likable characters after that.

I think all I did was get caught

up on pit.

I'm caught up.

That's kind of all I had time for

with.

watching all the quarterfinals i think lex

watches that i don't watch any of these

netflix i'm curious where they're going

with yeah i don't i don't know and

it's it's got to be ending soon right

we're at i think there's three left yeah

there's are sixteen maybe there's four

left i don't know three or four left

yeah not a lot i don't know

Um, Grace is fifteen forty.

Highly recommend Project Hail Mary.

Both the book and the movie are great.

So I read the book.

Um, I haven't seen the movie yet.

Usually I'm thoroughly disappointed if

I've read the book.

Yeah.

And then go watch the movie.

So, um, but for people who don't know,

it's the same writer who wrote The

Martian.

Okay.

Which became the movie with Matt Damon.

Yep.

Um,

And the book, it really starts,

it takes a couple chapters just to realize

what's going on.

But it was a really, really good book.

And I'm fearful of watching the movie.

Apparently it's good.

It's a pretty good adaptation.

Ryan Gosling is, of course, wonderful.

He is a good actor.

He doesn't do a lot for me,

but more power to you.

He's a good actor.

Yeah.

With or without his shirt?

Speaking of with or without the shirt,

did you guys take the time to watch

Justin stand up?

I have not yet.

He does it shirtless because he's a

CrossFitter.

That's how he started.

But the best joke of the night was

when the MC came back on stage after

he was done and she ripped her shirt

off.

And that was hilarious.

That's awesome.

Yeah.

I'm going to have to watch it.

Kudos to him.

Like,

that's got to be so hard to go

up there and talk for, like, he did,

what, five, seven minutes at least?

Jeez.

The YouTube is nine,

so there's a little introduction to that.

So probably seven.

You're probably right.

Yeah.

That's crazy.

I mean,

I wouldn't buy tickets to go see him.

No.

But he tried hard,

and he's just such a good sport.

Like, he's just...

That whole show is so good.

Just the whole boys.

They all have different things that they

can bring.

Yeah.

What I did like about the jokes and

what is good about comedy is there has

to be a hint of truth.

And so we brought up real,

if you follow The Boys Interrupted,

real situations that have occurred and

made them into the joke.

which I thought was,

at least he did that.

And so if you're a fan of their

show and a fan of him,

you would get some of the jokes.

His timing, I would give a C,

but it was his first time and he

was really nervous.

The joke writing wasn't bad.

The timing and the delivery weren't top.

A little cringy at times,

but he's a good sport.

Um, Fergie's question of the week, Jamie,

would you rather go head to head against

Colton in a live stream quarterfinal or

lose to Scott in the bracket challenge?

Uh, for sure.

Go head to head.

Cool.

I mean, I'm losing either way.

At least I get to work out next

school and for sure work out next school.

And you guys are the same height.

Yeah, I'd say we are probably very equal.

You might be taller, aren't you?

I'm five, four.

So, okay.

I think that's similar.

You're five, four.

Yeah.

What do you think?

I was thinking you're taller.

I'm not.

I didn't think you were that tall.

Maybe I'm five, three.

I could be shrinking.

I don't know.

When you're five,

eleven at a CrossFit event,

everybody looks small.

Yeah.

Except for Hopper and Pepper and Sprig.

Um,

so Terry said his last minute was pretty

good.

I thought he got rolling more towards the

end of, but yeah, for sure.

Um,

the thing about the foot guy in the

DMS and the one about always wanting a

gay fan were pretty funny.

Um,

The fact that he brought in Dallin selling

his underwear and James doing Grace naked,

I thought were the funny parts.

So there's that.

What else do we have here?

That's about it.

So let's get into quarterfinals.

They were everywhere.

Okay.

Carolyn went into her cave.

Jamie did give me the opportunity to see

all of hers.

Um, which was awesome.

I really enjoyed it.

She had great music playlists.

So I was listening to,

I don't even know what was on.

We were at not our own,

not our own gym.

So I don't know.

So it all just depends on my mood,

but she had one of the workouts she

did.

was like hip-hop yeah um and i was

really getting into that i was singing

along the entire time um but i got

to watch all of hers i got to

watch some of corey's um of course people

put them out on the internet we're gonna

talk about that in a second so how

did you feel your quarterfinals weekend

went um

I mean,

I feel like it was smoother for us

as a, as a group, like my group,

our gym, um,

shout out to Braveheart local CrossFit gym

near us.

They were, it was,

they were extremely accommodating and like

brought back my faith in humanity a little

bit.

Like we were very welcomed.

We were given generous amounts of time in

there.

I didn't feel like I had two hours

to rush in and out.

Um, they didn't ask for a thing.

Um, yeah, they were great.

You did not have a great experience.

Had a great experience.

Yeah.

But last year you didn't have a great

experience.

Yeah.

I mean, you're semifinal, right?

Yeah.

Like having to find somewhere to go,

not feeling welcome at places or not being

welcome at places and that,

or having to drive two hours, um,

you know, pay in,

I I'm fine with pain.

I, she didn't ask for anything,

but I still gave her money.

Um, but yeah,

being like nickel and dimed over the whole

situation sort of sucks when it's like,

you're already paying,

you're paying to travel,

you're paying to compete in this comp.

There's,

I'm trying to coordinate four or five,

six people.

It worked really,

really great this time around.

And we got,

and I would like go work out with

Terry, Ronica and myself, Emma,

one of our teens.

And then I'd get back home for the

six PM class.

And we had six people,

five or six boys who qualified who didn't

want to pay because they were like seventy

six percentile.

They just wanted to do them together.

So I ran that group at six p.m.

Thursday, Friday,

and then they all came with us on

Saturday.

And so we actually got to like be

together for one and they got to see

some of us do them.

It was just it was it felt like

a closer community this time.

I enjoyed the experience.

Carolyn.

Yeah.

Uh, we,

we did them like the classes also pro

like I programmed them for the,

for the classes throughout the week,

just cause there was like,

we could scale all of those anyways.

Like I'll probably do the same thing for

semifinals if they get released early.

Yep.

Like, and just do a intermediate version,

a skilled version of them.

Um, yeah, I mean, it was a good,

good community feel all weekend.

Uh, a lot of support, um,

the workouts itself.

I did them.

I did.

What order did you pick?

I started with four.

So I was going to start with four

and I kind of wish I did.

Um,

but I started with one because I was

worried about the overhead squats.

Um,

and I just wanted to do them without

any extra like fatigue on my shoulder.

So I did that one first.

I did one, four,

I did four and three back to back.

And then I did two,

I thought two would be like the hardest

and wreck me.

And I don't, it didn't really,

I was surprised.

I honestly, yeah.

Like I,

so we'll talk about that something after,

but I did four first.

Yeah.

Then I did three,

which so four was the rolling one to

me that I wanted to start with my

weakest one, which is handstand pushups,

strict handstand pushups.

So I want to do that one.

The most fresh.

Then I went into the deadlifts.

I mean,

I'm going to call it a double under

workout.

Um,

because of the high execution needed on

that.

Yes.

Um,

the following day I did just workout

number one.

Okay.

And then yesterday I finished with workout

number two.

At no point this weekend that I feel

super sore.

Did I feel anything different?

Like sometimes in prior years,

like workout three, like the deadlift one,

felt like one of the easier workouts I've

done in general,

any qualifier or anything.

I don't double under fast at all.

So like it's not going to be competitive.

I still tripped up twice.

The rest was like on the very first

trip.

But like,

I don't have the ability to just pick

up the rope and go right away.

Like some people do like,

I have to like pick up the rope,

do a single seat and get into my

double.

Um, so, but like that one,

just like how fast can you double under

to me?

Yep.

Um,

the deadlifts are just like an

afterthought.

Um,

Workout one.

I wish I could have done a different

strategy.

I did the like if I were to

if I had redone that one,

which I want to do today,

but I didn't.

I considered redoing that one today, too.

So I think I could have pushed the

road just a little bit more.

Oh,

I would have done singles for the row.

Oh, yeah.

I would have done singles on the clean

and jerk.

I opened up with like a set of

like, I don't know, maybe nine or ten.

And then I went to another small set

and then I finished with a bunch of

singles.

And I think it like got my heart

rate up way too much for the second

row.

Yeah.

And also blew up my arms a little

bit more than I wanted to.

Um,

so I think I would have done a

different strategy there.

Uh, the deadlift one,

I'm pretty happy with my execution on

double unders.

Like that's pretty good for me to go

unbroken.

I mean, I missed two of them,

like on the first rep,

but like still unbroken.

I'll take that any day.

Yeah.

Um, number one, the sprint one,

I went too slow on the first part.

I think like I shouldn't listen to as

many people online because like everyone

was talking about, you know,

pace yourself a little bit for the second

part.

But like I was almost fifteen,

twenty seconds faster on the second part

than the first.

Wow.

I didn't see I overpaced the first part.

That's crazy.

I was very similar.

It was still hard like this,

like the sprint at the end.

But I just I finished wanting I finished

and I was like.

Damn,

I could have I could have gone just

I should have red line and just see

if I can hold on.

And then I almost felt the same way

on event two.

I felt like I perfectly paced it,

but I was slow on my transition,

like walking, went to the bar,

walked nice and slow.

And at no point did I feel like

I was going to miss a dumbbell,

miss a bar muscle-up at zero point.

But on the fourth to last rep of

my hang squat clean, I felt a little...

tiny little pop thingy on my hamstring.

So I finished the last three reps,

but like after I was like, okay,

no more redos this week.

So thankfully it was my last workout and

I finished it and like, I'm good.

Um, but I, I wanted,

my ego wants to redo, especially like,

especially the handstand pushup one.

I want,

I wanted to retry the burpee one with

like a more reckless pace,

but at the end of the day,

it's just not worth it right now.

Right.

Because I already have both of my

semifinals places.

Right.

You'll be safely in the top two thousand.

They're very, very safely.

Right.

Yeah.

So like it doesn't matter.

It's just like I I always like doing

online competitions and I like redoing.

I like any time I sign up and

I put my name on a leaderboard that's

going to stick forever.

Like I want to leave that weekend knowing

that I did everything I could to maximize

my score.

I fight for every second.

I fight for every rep of every competition

that I can do if I have a

chance to do it multiple times.

and i'm like mad that like i won't

get that chance this weekend but i still

think it's fine yeah yeah i'm really happy

with my double under one the deadlift

double under one are you unbroken yeah i

had one trip to to like pick up

the road it's always the first one i

know and then other than that yeah even

the deadlifts which is good for me which

workout did you enjoy the most

Probably the bar muscle up one.

I don't know.

Maybe the double under one.

Because it was the shortest.

Like.

But.

I just wish I.

I think I was like.

Overly.

Like I put.

I don't know.

I was nervous about number two.

The bar muscle up one.

Thinking it was going to be so awful.

And I. Everyone was like so grippy.

Yeah.

And like.

I mean, don't get me wrong.

It got grippy at the end.

Like, I, like, saved, like...

But at no point...

I think I overthought like I psyched

myself for something way worse way worse

same and I think I was like overly

cautious with like pacing back and forth

um I just I saved like twenty four

cleans at the end so of course those

get grippy at the end but I think

I honestly almost think I could have like

should have done forty bar muscle ups and

eighty cleans and just I think I could

have done something like that too um

not unbroken but jamie on that one when

i was watching it she was so calm

and cool throughout the whole thing like

it didn't seem like there was a sense

of urgency ever because i didn't have i

didn't know i didn't have a clock that

i could see so i didn't even know

the time and i was like

I didn't have anyone like I sort of

had a somewhat of a plan, but again,

because I thought the workout was gonna be

so awful.

I had the, I had it broken down.

I think into three, six, once I did,

I was doing, I did like and then,

and then I was going to do a

bunch of three, six.

And I was like, that's dumb.

I feel fine.

Like, again,

I think I just gave the workout too

much.

Like,

I just thought it was gonna be worse.

And I was like,

I need to do more than this.

This is, this is a dumb plan.

But yes, I, I did overpace it, Scott.

Like I got,

I'm not even like a little bit sore

from it.

And I'm like, oh,

I didn't go hard enough.

Oh, well.

Shannon Schleifer says that's what she

did.

Yeah, I don't know is what it is.

I'm not, I'm not, I mean,

I don't really have the luxury of redoing

them.

I would also like to kind of redo

the row one and push the row pace

and the clean and jerks a little more,

but it is just, I just,

I don't have dirty strips unbroken,

like a lot of the top end athletes.

I need to get to the wall faster.

If I'm going to get,

if I'm going to do it in multiple

sets,

I just got to get there faster and

it's going to,

my handstand pushups will be the same,

I think regardless.

But if I could,

be a little bit better on the bar

and push the row a little bit more.

I should.

Yeah.

Like that, that one.

Yeah.

That one will push me back a little

bit, but the other three,

I think I have good scores,

but I would have wanted this.

I would have wanted this still redo.

We'll see where it shakes out.

It is what it is.

I'm, I mean, like, I just can't put,

I could barely overhead squat.

That wasn't, was rough on me.

So it's like for,

to redo anything is like, for what?

Like,

I'm not even sure if there's heavy

snatches in the semifinals.

I don't even think I'm going to be

able to do it.

So my next question is like, for me,

it was like, yeah, I don't need to,

I already have my semis.

Yeah.

I just need to be healthy.

Like, and I've never, like,

I've never had anything like an injury

really knock on wood.

And like,

I was struggling to walk yesterday,

but it's much better today.

I can like walk normal and there's no

bruising.

So I was like, thanks.

So we're good.

So we've been kind of talking all week

about everybody criticizing the test.

Was it enough?

Is it enough?

And I came to the realization as a

spectator,

because I'm not an elite athlete,

is when I watch sports,

you are given a season.

And your opponents may be good, bad,

or indifferent throughout the season.

You just have to take on what is

put in front of you.

And if you win that challenge throughout

the year, you become the fittest on earth.

Right.

But I want to ask you guys,

do you feel like after you've done all

four workouts, those four together,

did you feel like it was a good

test to move on in the season?

I think it's a fine test for

quarterfinals.

I don't think it's a full test.

And we've said this again,

we talk about this every week and we've

said it a lot.

If it,

if you could combine over the course,

I think then you'd have a really

well-rounded test.

I think they were good tests.

I think the top two thousand is kind

of no question.

Do I wish there was videos?

Yes.

Do I think there's a lot of stuff

here that could be skirted a little bit,

but yeah, I think they were,

I think they were good workouts.

You have to really want to hurt on

the shuttle one.

Like,

you have to be proficient at burpees and

quick cycle of overhead squats.

Yeah.

That one was that my heart rate got

to two hundred and ten in that workout.

One hundred seventy five and all the other

workouts.

Wow.

Just fine.

I felt like that workout was awful.

And people saying that that needed to be

heavier, like for what?

So that you can slow everything down

again.

Like, I don't like that argument.

Like it was it was good.

And it would have stopped fifty year olds

even from even being able to really do

it.

Yeah, two ten is crazy.

I thought I was dying in that one.

I don't think I've ever had a two

pen heart rate.

And I told the,

one of the guys who didn't sign up

that was doing them.

I told him that I was like,

that was the worst workout.

And he has got to two Oh one

in that workout.

I have heart issues and I haven't hit

two hundred.

No, I think,

I think the test was fine for quarters.

You know,

I saw a lot of people try to

get a first trick, a handstand pushup.

I saw people, you know,

struggling on the bar muscle ups like that

combo.

And like that was challenging.

And the weights,

the double dumbbell was challenging for

people.

It's not a movement that they necessarily

do very often.

So they had to adapt.

Then the overhead squat put people in

challenging position mobility wise,

whether it was ankle, hips, shoulders.

So even though the weight may have not

been super high for the high end,

it was good enough for the twenty five

percent.

um and allowed for people to kind of

separate their um on like their mobility

and like a basic strength there yeah um

there were a ton of live streams this

weekend tons that was awesome it was it

was really hard to like keep up with

all of them and i don't think i

got them all and and i did see

jeremy say earlier in the chat like

You know, the Glintons doing, like,

average...

Like average Joes,

like Joseph Ramirez who's in our chat.

Average Joes out there giving it a shot

on quarterfinals, right?

I thought that was great.

And I've made the comment and they've

shared the reels and that for someone

who's...

Like I'm having a medical condition where

I can't be at a gym.

It gave me the feeling of being part

of a community during quarterfinals and

being able to root people on.

And I thought that was really cool.

And even like...

You know,

I'm friends with Fi and getting to watch

Fi do the workouts and cheer her on

was really cool.

You sending me yours and getting to watch

those.

Corey sending me his and watching his.

That was tremendous this weekend.

The fact that CrossFit on Friday showed

three workouts was awesome.

If I had one criticism, it'd be,

give us more.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like,

you could have done a short Saturday show

and a short Sunday show and made it

a full weekend of – and it only

needed to be two or three people.

You didn't need to go, like,

ham on it.

Just a couple people.

But I thought it was tremendous.

And to witness Tudor's deadlift double

under workout –

Was incredible because I dare you to find

one rep that wasn't right.

He moved really.

I was skeptical at first.

Like I saw the time and I'm like,

oh, come on.

His were the best deadlifts I saw out

of almost.

Honestly,

I think out of anyone doing that workout.

Like,

and I know he's had questionable reps in

the past.

Some of his stuff that has been reviewed

has been, he's gotten penalties.

He moved really well.

He doesn't even like leave the ground.

I don't even understand how he is getting

that rope around twice.

That couldn't be a better workout for him

too.

Like he is probably the fastest and best

athlete that we have on double unders or

one of them anyways.

And probably within the top,

you know,

a little bit with the deadlift cycle speed

and strength.

So you put that combo together and like,

you knew it was going to be maybe

a world record time.

We don't know.

We'll see on Monday, but like,

it was like, yep.

The problem with a lot of the deadlifts

is when people look down and allow their

shoulders, like you have to look forward.

Yeah.

The moment you start looking down and your

shoulders come forward,

it never looks good.

Like people have to start looking,

just looking forward, like hit your spot.

Cause the moment you do this, it just,

it never looks an issue.

You look at the shoulders are in front

of the bar.

Yeah.

Even though your legs are extended,

your hips can be extended.

The fact that you're looking down and your

shoulders are internally wrote rotated,

never looks good for a rep.

Yeah.

Yeah.

They don't.

If you don't like stand up, squeeze.

Yeah.

Like literally like chest up.

Like it's not necessarily like the best

thing to do, but it looks the cleanest.

Trey and Olive,

he levitates double unders.

I just wish I could look like that

doing double unders.

Yeah, it was amazing.

There were so many amazing performances.

Watching Colton do so many.

And for Proven to allow that to happen,

like kudos to them.

Fi doing every workout.

If you wouldn't have told me that Fi

had a shoulder injury,

I wouldn't have known.

I think she's pretty much at a hundred.

She was like at ninety five percent.

Yeah.

She was like, she's healthy.

She just needs to get the volume back.

And like when you come from like her

fitness.

background of crossfit like it's not going

to take her very long to get back

like she hasn't lost her fitness

throughout this whole injury like she has

a lot of built-in fitness it just might

be a little bit of the stamina on

some of the movements may not fully be

there for her but if she's like healthy

now like she'll do the online semis and

i wouldn't be surprised if she gets a

spot there

The one thing that I did notice a

lot and included her is on the dumbbell

squat clean workout with the bar muscle

ups.

So many people on the very last rep

of dumbbell squat cleans bobbled or did

some,

she got buried in the bottom of the

squat and I wasn't sure she was going

to recover.

And get out of it.

Colton almost lost one off to the side

on the last rep.

It's like you're hurrying so fast to get

that last rep done that you lose focus

for just that split second.

And it shows you it can go terribly

wrong.

Yeah.

Especially under fatigue at that point.

Mm-hmm.

Any other performances you saw that I did?

I did think it was an interesting concept.

The boys interrupted doing four separate

strategies and then all finishing within

like thirteen seconds of each other.

I think less than ten seconds.

Like that was such a cool watch.

If you're like a fan of CrossFit,

it was beautiful.

It was just beautiful because you're like,

you could pick any athlete and just,

just look at that.

Like you could rewatch that video so many

times and just watch every single athlete

go about their own strategy and how that

played out.

That was awesome.

Do you think that would be a cool

concept just for like,

it's November and we're going to put three

athletes up.

They all have to do the workout in

a different rep scheme and see who comes

out at the,

at the end and take your bet on

what rep scheme is going to be the

best one.

I think that those would be cool.

Like a cool different way to show off

the sport.

As long as you have similar fitness

people,

because that's the thing that like,

that's why those four athletes could

compare that one is because their fitness

are all relatively close and,

so it's like pretty even,

but if you do different strategies,

but someone's just a little bit better,

one strategy can overtake the other,

but not necessarily a better strategy just

because that person is just naturally fit.

But here, like all four, you know,

are top of the game right now.

And good.

Like Justin,

Justin wants to get to the floor.

I think this weekend,

good bounce back for him after you have

a comment to yourself.

I'll keep it to myself.

I just feel like his movement was the

most questionable when I watched them.

On the deadlift?

Deadlift and on the squat cleans.

Speaking of events that were live streamed

this weekend,

did you guys catch Ariel's reel?

Oh, yes.

This was hilarious.

She's so good with her reels.

Dude,

what happened to your problem lately?

Really?

Does this ring a bell?

Oh yeah.

That was a good call.

He's sleeping on the couch for a week.

Oh, having to no rep your wife.

It's live.

Like you had no choice.

You're going to go live and you don't

make the call.

He's going to get like buried.

by people yeah i also wanted to show

this uh the cf network put this up

as the top scores from the weekend as

they knew them at this time six hours

ago um so workout one uh colton crushed

at this point five forty four um fee

with the six thirteen well that's it's off

there but anyway uh justin six oh four

hopper six oh nine

James Sprague, six, twelve.

Workout two, Colton again, seven, sixteen.

Workout three, Tudor with the sub four.

I was shocked Justin went four, oh, three.

Well.

But then we go back to Jamie's previous

comment.

I mean, his double unders,

his double unders speed is really good.

And I think that was where most of

the time was, obviously.

Like,

you just have to be really clean there.

And then work out for Colton with the

best time on that one as well.

Do you think because Justin's the closest

to the camera that he had the worst

reps?

If we saw Dallin and Hopper from the

back, if we saw more of them?

Well, I don't think he was the closest.

It was just the easiest to see.

He wasn't the closest.

We barely saw the two at the back

do any deadlifts.

Yeah, maybe we can see the angle.

I know they switched the angle on the

double one a couple of times.

Yeah.

And I felt the same way from both

angles.

So, um, yeah, yes,

there could always be a camera angle

issue.

Um, so that's,

that's fair statement on the deadlift one.

I hate judging squats from the front.

Yes.

Yes.

I hate it.

And on that squat clean muscle-up one,

there's no way to tell the depth of

that squat from the front.

You're really just guessing.

And so it makes it hard.

But I saw they all had other videographers

doing independent footage of their run.

So, I don't know.

I really wish that workout four would have

been...

wall walk complexes i hate that arm length

plays such a role in that workout like

if you think about like colton's handstand

push-ups compared to jason's or dylan's

like i mean you'd almost have to make

colton do sixty to their thirty it's the

it's the distance travel like if you had

to do a wall walk into a hand

wall face handstand push-up every time at

least they both have to travel in and

out

like,

I just that row is meters doesn't offset.

Yeah, there's no because like,

even if you're smaller,

let's say you go five or ten seconds

slower per five hundred.

It's not huge.

Yeah, I just I,

I don't love strict handstand push ups for

that issue.

I mean,

I know there's tall people have some other

strengths and stuff, but like that one,

that movement just bothers me.

I would have much rather seen a walk

complex.

Speaking of that, I was watching Pat,

Pat that's in the chat, Pat.

Okay, not Pat Lange.

Not Pat Lange.

Pat Lange.

Do that workout this morning on the

glutes.

He's a big dude,

and he was ripping off strict handstand

pushups.

Nice, Pat.

It was really, really impressive.

It just, I was not what I expected.

Surprisingly.

Pleasantly surprised.

Um,

Jenny says Raptus this time has been

updated for workout four.

She apparently did an extra rep.

So time is ten thirty five officially now.

Yeah, I was counting that while,

while she was doing live and I'm like

the fact when you said two more,

I was like, that's all I had.

And then I saw them talking about it

and they were rewatching it.

So that, yeah, that makes sense.

Vicki wants to know,

so then should burpee,

no box jump overs be scored,

scaled lower because he has to travel

higher.

Yeah.

I mean, that's what I'm saying.

There's going to be like offsetting

movements.

I just feel like that one is so

extreme.

The strictly insane pushup is so extreme.

It's I don't know.

That's a tough one.

Yeah.

Um,

We've already had some people withdraw

from semifinals that were invited.

And so we've been talking about that for

a while now,

that the invites aren't based on this

season.

And therefore, I, I will speak for myself,

do not believe that is right.

You should not be able to advance in

a season based on last year's performance.

You should have to compete this year to

be able to move forward.

And we already have Mano Anganese and

Ariel Lowen who have withdrawn from

Mayhem.

And I am sure that's just the start.

So my question to you is now that

this is starting to happen,

do you see a flood of withdrawals coming

or do you think it's going to be

just a handful?

I don't see a flood of withdrawals

happening.

I think it'll just, yeah,

I think it'll just be a few.

I think it'll be just a few because

people are trying to get into the semis

right now.

The way that it's set up,

once this quarterfinals is done,

it's the same people that are going to

get asked to go to all of these

semifinals that are accepting spots.

I think it's crazy that only four out

of the ten are not filled right now.

All the other ones are basically not using

the quarterfinals.

That's crazy that everything happened

prior.

Only four of the ten are using

quarterfinals.

Yeah, correct.

Did I say the opposite?

I don't know.

Oh, yeah.

Only four of the ten are using.

And, like,

the other ones all had an online

competition prior or an invite like Mayhem

based off of Leaderboard or –

whatnot with points.

I think that mayhem has since gone to

the open leaderboard for their last couple

invites.

Cause I think they grabbed some of the

top Americans from the open.

I believe.

And we don't know who's been,

who's denied the invite either from them.

Cause once the withdrawal happens,

they have to go down a list and

people have to either accept or deny.

And we don't know how far down the

list they needed to go.

Well, I just think that some,

there's no way that they have enough

points on the rogue leaderboard because

they're just having some people like the

last one that they invited.

Yeah.

Like she would not have many points.

She's new.

Yeah.

So I'm assuming they just grabbed her from

the open.

Yeah.

Newer, I should say.

Um,

Yeah.

But just, it's just crazy.

Like if you weren't on the ball of

like doing your online qualifiers prior to

the open starting and you were like still

cruising through your off season,

you may have missed your shot to go

to an in-person competition this year in

the semis,

your only shot will now be doing the

online semifinals.

And that's crazy.

Cause there's a lot of people who are

extremely good in person who may not excel

as much in an online atmosphere than

and won't get that chance to compete.

I think there's going to be more than

a handful of withdrawals,

and I think it's due to this.

I think people accepted more than they

were going to do and waited until we

get to this point in the season to

figure out which one they're actually

going to go to.

And two,

I think as we get further in the

season,

people are going to qualify and then

withdraw for the future ones that they've

already signed up for.

or if workouts come out and you know

you have no chance at that one and

you've accepted two different weekends

back to back you're like cancel that one

that's not going to be good for me

looking at that field I'm going to go

here you could do that I think it

CrossFit

great sports analogy if sometimes feels

like opting out of bowl games or load

management bs yeah there's nothing more

frustrating as a fan of a college football

team and half the team opts out of

the bowl game to save themselves for the

nfl draft like it's not even your team

out there competing anymore um uh steven

braver steven and in braver

I don't know.

Stephen Den Braver.

I don't know.

We'll go with that.

Can we please talk about how women get

a scale on wobble height target but get

to use the same handstand push-up length?

It should be smaller, right?

You're muted, Jenny.

I had a cap in there.

This is where I feel like

I mean, I get what you're saying, Steven,

but there's plenty of women who have...

I have longer arms than Colton.

I can promise you that.

So, no.

But what sucks is, like,

I think Dave was on the right,

or whoever put it into place,

was on the right track with that

measurement.

It just...

that wasn't great either,

but I feel like there's gotta be,

I like the wall walk cause you got

to travel and then you do one and

you're going to get fatigue if you're

shorter and you got to take more steps

or if that's a further reach for you

than somebody who's here when they start

the wall walk.

I think it's sort of levels that playing

ground a little bit to add the wall

walk in.

The thing with the wall balls is like

four,

The vast majority for a big population of

the woman in the open, the nine foot,

I still think is appropriate in terms of

like women are traditionally smaller and

will not be as strong.

But then at the elite level,

at the higher end of the females,

that's where like ten foot should be

happening.

And that's what normally happens when you

get to the quarterfinals or semifinals is

now you get ten feet for both and

it's just twenty fourteen.

But I think in the open,

I'm OK with the height being nine to

be a little bit more inclusive there.

The handstand push up line.

Yeah, I mean, it's not.

great I don't know how to fix it

because it definitely is an advantage to

someone that can place their hands certain

way and then other ones that are like

super tall long arms are now very like

very much way more narrow hitting like

their range of motion um

I wish there was a way to travel

distance.

If you are locked out and you have

six inches, you got to do sixty inches.

I don't know.

Like lunges.

If it's twenty-five feet,

everyone's got to get through twenty-five

feet.

I mean, it's impossible.

Everyone's going to skirt that somehow,

but...

But that's why Colton's never finished top

ten at the games.

On these events where he has an advantage,

there are a handful of other events where

he has a disadvantage.

And that's why it has to be a

balance test, right?

Yes.

It needs to be paired with a tall,

favorable movement for sure so that it

balances out.

Which I think they maybe thought the row,

but I don't think that it does because

it's meters and they don't get the spread

there.

Yep.

Exactly.

Yes,

it could have been handstand walk this

time instead of the strict handstand

pushup.

I think that would have been a good,

like I said,

the wall walk complex or handstand walk.

Let's say it's finished with three hundred

feet of handstand walking.

Yeah, I would have taken that.

Yep.

I think that would have been a really

good test.

Cause they like the thirties on that one.

You do three hundred feet.

You check a box.

That's a that's a that's a number that

we see often.

And if it's less than that,

there's not as much separation.

But that three hundred is a dense enough

number where the speed of your turnaround

like is a huge factor.

Your shoulder stamina gets tested there

and the higher skill.

I think that would be good.

Yep.

I think like, I still think the best,

I'm going to go back to,

did I just do it?

He's he's muted.

No, it's happening.

I think going back to the season format,

I think the best way to do it

would be an open.

Let's say three weeks for the open.

You get a week off and then you

get cut.

Twenty five percent gets cut.

And then it's a continuation on the fifth

week and basically quarterfinals.

Right.

Yeah.

Next before test.

All of those scores are combined for that

test.

Everyone has one semifinal regional base,

kind of like regionals.

If you get a stacked semifinals,

it's okay because the open is at the

– or the online semifinals is at the

end of the season, and it's a catch-all.

And if you were in the top whatever

percent in the – let's say the

quarterfinals or your open quarterfinal,

or if you were a certain place away

from qualifying from your region –

you get automatic to the online last

chance qualifier.

And it kind of is the catch all

at the end.

Then you get one semifinal shot in person

and then you get your online,

not like it doesn't become who has the

most money and can spot and can go

to all of these places and get sponsors

to pay for them.

Cause that's what it, that's what it is.

That's what it's like.

I wish I could do all these comps,

but I can't.

Yeah.

I'm going to try to at school,

but yeah.

I don't know what they're going to say

in this next month.

But it just becomes who has more money

and who doesn't work versus let's see

who's the fittest out of these places.

Like one semifinal and then last chance.

Three ninety nine a month.

It pays for the platforms to bring you

this awesome entertainment each and every

Sunday night.

Thanks, Ken.

Um,

so I missed some of what you were

saying, but I get it.

I got most of the gist.

So, um, are,

are we getting the right people to

semifinals?

If you're not getting through on the top

two thousand here,

you have no business doing any high skill

or higher strength.

That doesn't necessarily mean you're going

to get to go to an in-person semi.

That's true.

You get a guaranteed at the online

semifinal is what I'm saying.

You at least get a further chance in

your season.

Your season is not over.

Yeah, I agree.

Then someone brought up that Brooke Wells

got a special invite to Syndicate.

It wasn't a special invite.

It was an invite based on last year's

results.

However,

Syndicate only allows people to compete

who are still eligible to gain a

qualification spot to the games.

So if you've already qualified through

another means,

you're not allowed to compete at

syndicate.

If you didn't make the top two thousand,

you are not allowed to compete at

syndicate.

Syndicate has very strict rules because

they want it.

Then they want to be able to say

the podium is going to the games,

which I love.

I love that, too.

I do, too.

And nobody's messing up.

Someone's not taking points away or

messing up a leaderboard in that

competition.

I love Wilson Park.

People go to multiple because it's an

opportunity for money.

Yeah.

Yeah.

But I don't think people would burn out

as much if they had one there.

And then they can do maybe some stuff

in the offseason.

And those are the big money ones anyways.

These semifinals aren't giving that much

money.

Yeah.

So I love that they made that decision

because as a fan,

you now can look at the leaderboard and

know the top three people,

that's who's going to the games.

Agree.

Speaking of awesome,

if you want an awesome night's sleep,

Mark Phillips is gifting five Clydesdale

media memberships.

So five lucky listeners.

How do you get gifted?

So it just randomly picks from the chat.

People that don't have it?

Correct.

So five people.

Start writing in the chat.

They're going to get a free Clydesdale

media membership.

Mark, you are the best.

You're here every day at lunch.

You're here every Sunday night.

You are freaking awesome.

Love you guys to death.

Love every one of you.

We have so many members,

and I appreciate each and every one of

you.

Hexy Lover,

with all the eyes on impressive live

streams,

has any news come out about who's

streaming, steering the ship?

I don't think it matters.

I've said this a million times.

The CEO is just the face of the

board.

The board is the one giving the direction.

Unless the board says,

we are giving you full autonomy to whoever

becomes the CEO, none of that matters.

And the board are giving the directions.

And honestly, right now,

They're not doing a bad job.

Media,

they did live stream live events on

Friday.

They have promoted the open and

quarterfinals better than a lot of people

have.

A lot of years we have.

They're doing an awesome job.

So kudos to them.

Yeah,

they do seem like they've really leaned

into the media focus.

And we know that they were following the

boys this weekend.

They were probably elsewhere also.

And then they had, yeah,

they emailed the previous games athletes,

um, this week saying,

if you want to hop live on Friday

at two o'clock Eastern, I think maybe one,

it was like, I don't know, eleven,

eleven Pacific time.

Let us know.

We're going to have people comment, uh,

commentating on your, um, event.

Um,

Yeah,

they also emailed us athletes from last

year like a code.

So like if at checkout you use the

code CFG, so CrossFit Games, Prevo,

P-R-E-V-O,

then I get a kickback of I think

it's ten percent.

to help fund like my season,

hopefully for the game.

And they haven't, I don't remember them.

I mean,

not in the years that I've done, um,

them doing that.

So each games athlete from last year has

a code that can help fund.

Hopefully there's,

I don't know what happens if that athlete

doesn't make it and where that money goes,

but feel free to use that code.

That's cool.

I think you have to buy a three-day

ticket throughout the weekend.

It's not like a single day.

So if you buy a three-day pass,

then the athlete would get a kickback.

Daniel Arnson,

who has paid for it for four ninety

nine to tell Mark to pick him when

I think it's up to the randomness of

YouTube.

But thank you very much for the four

ninety nine.

And Daniel, you become a very

frequent listener as well.

And we really appreciate you.

Thank you so much for that.

Um,

I think that was also a cool way

for CrossFit to give exposure to athletes.

Amen.

Exactly.

Uh, John George, sorry, I'm late.

Had to do a couple of crock quarterfinal

workouts.

One to go, uh, dude,

the deadlines like in a couple hours,

tomorrow, p.m.

He's good.

He's got a while.

Right up against the deadline, dude.

No.

You can still get two done tomorrow if

you want.

Go green, Daniel.

For the arsenal of Carolyn's quilted

jacket,

especially since it's ninety degrees in

Orlando this week.

Oh, that must be nice.

I saw a fun fact.

Did you know that fifty percent of

Canadians live south of Seattle?

Well, I mean, that makes sense.

It's the top is not really,

it'd be way too cold.

I think it's more than I didn't realize

that the United States curves up that

much.

Yeah.

Yeah.

On the point.

Yeah.

Like there's some places that are more

North in the States than us.

I definitely would have,

I would have figured that with Maine

because Maine goes way up there,

but I did not think that for Seattle.

No one lives in the place called the

Northern Territories.

Not without a toque.

Not without a toque in the moose.

It's ninety degrees in Southern

California, too pretty, stinking hot.

I think it's supposed to get like sixty

here tomorrow.

Del Mar,

is the Legends comp outside or inside?

I guess I don't even know that.

It's at the fairgrounds like regionals

was.

I don't remember.

So it's covered.

Okay.

But technically,

I don't think it has any sides.

Okay.

So you're saying I should do some sauna

work and get used to heat?

Yeah.

Okay.

Vicky says, Fergie, shush.

It was thirty eight degrees here.

It's actually warming up here.

We're supposed to be in the seventies

tomorrow.

Uh, it's in a horse stall.

Well,

I think it's bigger than a horse stall.

I think it's several horse stalls.

so yeah but it's you can go back

and watch the old west regionals i know

i have to go back and watch some

of them because i know that bob and

joe were saying how much they love those

workouts but aren't they just the right

same regional workouts from any region

okay so i don't really need to watch

the regionals there it's the same workout

they've probably done many times with some

twists on it that i'm sure they'll put

Yes.

Multiple horse style, horse stalls,

cross fat.

Um, yeah.

And I was actually thinking this,

just watch the bridges and road to the

games where Brooke blows up on Mars.

And it happened in the fairgrounds.

I think I just watched that, uh,

when I was doing that,

I was watching that episode.

It's a good one.

Because both of them were supposed to make

the games and neither one did.

And it was all caught on camera.

Kenneth,

that was more like watching a domestic

dispute.

Kind of was.

That was the start of the fall.

Yeah, they both seem better for it.

Yeah, I agree.

So it's literally on the water.

So you will get a breeze probably.

I have a question.

Were teams doing any of these workouts and

they don't have a quarterfinals.

So teams go from the open to an

in-person semi or an online.

Do they have an online semi as well?

Yep.

Yeah.

Like six teams or something.

Okay.

You only get twenty total.

Yeah.

And it's like two from like

So it's definitely much easier on the

teams this year.

They don't have to be together as often.

Like, really,

it's just the three weeks of the open

and two of those almost this year.

If you were doing a lot of Palooza,

you had to be together and then in

person.

Yep.

Okay.

A couple quick hitters before we head out

of here tonight.

Haven't talked to you guys since the

four-year ban came down for cheating.

Yeah.

So CrossFit handed out a four-year ban for

cheating.

I guess we could consider PEDs cheating.

So not the first time.

What are your thoughts on the video

doctoring getting a four-year ban?

I mean, it's way more than I expected.

Yeah, I thought maybe two.

Before, I was like, damn.

But that's going to scare people from

doing that.

And you know it's happening.

It has happened before.

I've always been scared now with AI that

people will use AI to change things.

I guess we should have thought that that

was...

a possibility with yeah the bachmeyers do

you really mean other other people have

gotten this four-year ban before i don't

know why we didn't think about that um

it don't yeah i don't know it's i

appreciate that she i mean i don't even

know because i don't even know if she

necessarily i mean she came clean

obviously but it took multiple stages of

coming clean like she wasn't gonna come

clean she's just sorry she got caught

even in the final coming clean and clean

more at the end of the beginning.

Yeah.

So I feel like,

I don't think it was a half admission.

Like it was like the, Oh, I don't,

I thought,

I think I use the right weight,

but you're not letting the barbell drop on

any point and lowering it with nice and

control.

Like, you know,

when you're using a training bar.

Oh, for sure.

Yeah.

You don't warm up with a ten.

There's still a lot of things that she

didn't quite all say.

What I'm curious about is you're giving a

four-year ban to a video that she did

not submit to CrossFit, right?

This is a video that she gave to

Hiller.

No, the original, the first video as well,

sped up the first video with the clock

put in with what we think is a

training bar.

Yeah.

What she submitted to CrossFit.

Cause Hiller pulled that video.

So that one has a training bar,

which she technically doesn't admit to in

her, in her confession.

Added a clock there,

but doesn't actually admit to the,

we know, but yeah.

We know,

but there's not a confession that she used

a light barbell there.

She did.

She did confess to it at the end

of the podcast,

but said she did it by accident.

Oh, okay.

But based off that video, that's what,

and then she didn't show the weights there

prior before or after the workout.

So they had invalidated that score.

But that score,

was that one sped up or just the

clock was added?

Just the clock was added.

So really you're giving a four-year ban on

a video that wasn't her submitted video.

It's a video that you're giving to Andrew

Hiller, which is not,

it's just your proof of your score.

So the initial submitted video had a

doctored clock with two light awaits.

But she didn't admit to that technically.

We know.

Yeah,

but how are they proving that she cheated

other than having to put a clock in,

which arguably maybe she did.

That's what I'm saying.

She has admitted that it was a trade-off.

If I'm a lawyer, which I'm not,

I have a case to defend,

even though we know.

And we don't know if CrossFit said, hey...

We don't believe this video.

Do you have something to back it up?

And she submitted a second video.

True.

It just never got posted on the website.

Right.

We don't know what happened behind the

scenes.

Cause in the KL layman case,

Dave said they asked for additional

information and they could never prove it

because I don't think he ever sent

anything.

I think she sent it.

She sent the secondary one as well.

Yeah,

but didn't the affiliate that Cale said he

did that workout in say that he didn't?

I don't think he ever admitted it.

It's not up to Cale.

I feel like he just put,

kind of like this situation,

she just put this score two in with

this affiliate because it auto-validated.

They didn't.

I think they didn't do enough due

diligence in the kale Lehman situation,

in my opinion, that one frustrates me.

Because now people will cheat and just not

provide evidence and just deny and just

get things taken off.

Yeah, zero.

We've seen people get just zeroed because

they didn't provide a score or the video

was inaccurate, invalid.

Like people have measured wrong.

It's just an invalid video.

Right.

So technically like you have the wrong

weight, invalid video.

People have had wrong measurements on

handstand pushup.

I remember, I think it was like,

was it Laura a couple of years ago

or Magala?

Well, that's the bars.

Yes.

Like you have to read the workout or

what, you know,

it's just normally a set of like a

zero.

I'm just surprised because in my opinion,

there's a case to be made.

If she did not send the sped up

video to CrossFit,

That,

and maybe I watched you on TV and

lawyer stuff that she didn't admit to

knowing that it was a light barbell,

even though,

but at the end of the day,

she did admit to enough stuff.

And all it took was Andrew Hiller

admitting he took BPC one, five,

seven to get a ban.

Other athletes have admitted to that and I

have not gone to ban.

I'm very well known and has not gone

to ban.

True.

I'm not going there tonight.

Yeah,

HQ did remove her video prior to Hiller

because there were missing components that

are required for a video.

But it didn't necessarily say she cheated.

She just didn't have...

What Karen was saying, it didn't...

didn't have the requisite information it

needs to have to be a valid video

but that didn't mean she cheated it's only

after the fact when there was more digging

in that we found out there was more

to that but it needs it doesn't matter

cross fat's giving a lot of examples of

like josh golden he and his affiliate were

banned because of a social media video um

We've talked about in the past weeks of

the guy that didn't have the rope on

his handles doing double unders,

the guy who looped his video ten times.

All those people were banned as well from

what I've heard.

So none of us know what the evidence

submitted by her to HQ was.

maybe maybe her video was invalidated

before the end of the submission period

and she submitted the second video to get

the score back up and that's when they

found her cheating yeah i'm saying i'm not

mad i'm just saying there's a case i

found the lawyer she did cheat on purpose

it's fine for sure no no for sure

and more than one more than one of

her scores as well

Not just that last one.

Like there's more problems.

I'm just saying.

I was surprised for the four-year man

looking at the video that what she

admitted to, the sped up,

and that was basically the main thing.

And that's not the video,

at least I don't think,

is the one that,

I don't know if the original one was

sped up.

I didn't see the original one because it

was taken down.

Well,

the original one said she said the clock

didn't start.

So she imported a clock that wasn't there

while she was going.

Which is still a doctored clock.

Yeah.

Because it wasn't really the clock that

was running during her workout.

Yeah.

But anyway.

Carolyn,

Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong never got

caught either.

but i'm just saying like there's rules for

some and not uh yeah i pull up

suza's comment i'm i'm so far behind did

i miss it where no it's right here

okay you guys remember karis chan her

excuse is hilarious i don't think i

remember no that is i don't either

fill us in i know a lot of

people got busted for pds have some wild

excuses oh yeah i mean yeah we know

the the emily abbott one is yeah beyond

weird um this has got to be like

the same if it's not safe work it's

got to be almost like the same thing

right gotta be um

I think I know what it is,

and it was an oral sex excuse.

Okay, yeah, that's what I would assume.

So.

Yeah, okay.

Exactly what I assumed.

I think I got it right.

Yeah.

When you're in the boat,

you can do whatever you want, Carolyn.

Yeah,

Jeremy read my mind on what I was

talking about.

Yep.

I know what he's,

I know what you're talking about.

It's like Emily Abbott,

but further down the base path.

Yeah.

I think it's an oral sex thing.

Life source.

Um, yeah.

So that happened.

Xenom also announced their point system.

Did you guys have it?

I went on their site and I put

numbers in just to see like on the

lift, let's say for the females,

I think one Oh five kilograms.

So like, I think two, two,

two thirty one maybe is what a thousand

points would be on this one max snatch.

So that's basically like Hannah Black's

like top two thirty one snatch.

So every event has like a thousand points.

That's like the standard.

So I have a screen share to pull

up.

So you can go and like put whatever

you think you have and it's going to

give you what points that would be on

your total of that event.

So a thousand is supposed to be like

what they consider perfect.

And you can be above it.

So like on this snatch one,

I don't know if you can see it

very well.

So they actually listed up to fifteen

hundred points and the kilograms across

the bottom.

But it'll show you like one hundred fifty

four kilograms is that's this is for men

is a thousand and seven points.

So,

and they have this for every single event.

And it's, if you look,

it's a lot of math.

Where is it at?

They have the formula in here, it's crazy.

So points equals A times P minus B,

caret C. Okay.

scaling factor they figured it all out i

think it gives you like if you have

let's say above seven thousand you're

considered elite yeah i've got that so

here's the burpee workout uh the burpee

echo ski echo bike and the performance and

reps the then here's your points i like

it though it's like like

like that you can enter your points in

there i don't think it was their website

or something and like you could calculate

it yourself and so if you're like looking

at an event as a spectator you would

be able to see quickly their results in

terms of points instead of waiting

Let's say when Tyler does it,

we're waiting for him to finalize his

leaderboard.

We could see someone's score,

and it's already set what the performance

is.

We're not waiting for what is the median

score of the results.

That median or whatever score is already

given.

The scale has already been established.

Yeah,

which makes it easier to follow as a

spectator because the idea of the P

scoring that Tyler has –

I get it.

But if you're a spectator,

you're kind of waiting for that scoring

system to be done during the competition.

Like here would just be easier for people

to get the scores quickly.

So you can see like seven thousand plus

is world class.

You're an elite athlete and progress

through quarters to semis.

If five thousand seven hundred,

you're a competitive athlete pursuing

advanced gymnastics,

conditioning and weightlifting.

You qualify or aim to qualify for

quarterfinals.

I love that they're using CrossFit

terminology.

To kind of put because I've heard a

lot of people like on the spin and

some other places talk about this being

like a CrossFit Games fantasy camp.

And so by using that terminology,

it kind of lets you know if you

finish here,

this is where you have a shot to

be.

Three to three, five, a one.

I think the five, four,

five thousand is you regularly take on

workouts as described and have strong

proficiency in gymnastics,

conditioning and weightlifting.

And then it goes all the way down

to zero to two thousand,

which is a starting line.

You've been training regularly and have

developed basic proficiency in the core

movements and skills.

So I like it.

They're putting together a lot of cool

stuff to go with this.

Yeah,

it's going to be really interesting to see

who's the most well-rounded out of this

and how it plays out.

I'm very curious.

We still don't have the full set of

tests, right?

I think there's missing one or two.

Just one.

I guess I haven't put it on paper

to look if it's...

truly evenly based or if it's more geared

to power that's what I'd be curious on

I need to put them all down and

then look at if there's anything missing

and if we can really so CrossFit says

bands do it Richard Petty experience Coach

K camp and then there's a reason Porsche

and BMW have driving experiences and

Hyundai does not

watch the f-one race today too so uh

now that i've i've created a mclaren

myself um i all i can do is

root for that that team in the f-one

and finally both racers finished the

freaking race this year um

what uh we have one last thing wfp

announced the roster for london uh tour

stop one i have that as well gosh

it's a lot of names and our very

own carolyn's on it i'm not trying to

dog it um but the sign pros are

all listed here it looks like all twenty

they're considering coming to this

Then they have the challenger invites.

These are the people that went to

Copenhagen last year,

but did not earn a pro card.

They all got invites to this,

the London event.

Then there's wild card invites.

Three men got wild cards.

One woman got a wild card.

And then here are the people who qualified

as challengers through the online

qualifier,

including our very own Carolyn Prevost.

I mean,

I still haven't booked anything yet.

You got to go.

They said you're going.

It's right here.

It's in black and white.

It's just hard because I would be missing

seven out of nine days back to back

for school.

And that gives me so much stress right

now thinking about doing that to my

students.

Your kids will understand.

They'll understand.

Yeah.

But I actually,

what's wild to me is their invites from

Copenhagen last year are lesser known

names than the people that went through

the online qualifier.

And I think that speaks to who the

WFP is going to be for moving forward.

And it's the athletes like Carolyn who

could fund her whole season.

Right.

doing some workouts because you have like

reggie fossa you have uh george's caravas

uh toby buckland uh samuel cornway on the

women's side you have mathilde garness you

have hannah hardy dana perrin these are

semi-final athletes um and some of them

have made the games before

Andra Moistus.

She's on the up and coming list.

She just took second at Guadalupalooza.

She gets a pro card that helps her

out for years to come.

And my favorite name to say in the

world is M. Day Gooch.

Yeah.

She's my bracket.

She's good athlete.

So.

She has some very good strengths.

Yep.

I've done online qualifiers against her a

few times and throwing post-a-bar stuff.

Some gymnastic stuff she was really,

really good with.

That's just like what sticks out to my,

from what I remember.

Kenneth Lab says,

I thought Sam Well retired twice.

I just think he's retired from the

CrossFit game season.

The man has not made it through a

CrossFit game season healthy.

Yeah.

And maybe he's deciding maybe three tour

stops is easier on his body than trying

to get through the game season.

And if they're going to pay him to

do it and pay him to get there,

why not?

CrossFit says Samuel has like torn six

limbs and keeps coming back.

It's but a flesh wound.

Yeah, Carolyn, I think you got to go.

You got to just...

I mean, right now,

I want my hamstring to be good for

Del Mar.

But I just have to think about even

how to take these days off.

I don't know.

I think it's just hard to put my

students in that position.

I understand, but think about how many...

There's got to be other teachers in your

school who...

are it's my math class that i'm like

that i want i don't i just they

don't do anything with it but there's got

to be people who go on maternity leave

and are out for a while there's got

to be people who are nowhere near as

fit as you who get sick and are

in the hospital for a week like so

because you're so fit and you don't get

sick and don't take days off ever like

yeah taking one day off

From the whole first half of the year.

And it's not even because I was sick.

It was just,

I think it was for mayhem.

You need to just do it.

So I've saved my days,

but it's just because they're like

back-to-back chunks.

That's like very stressful.

Other people will take back-to-back

chunks.

There will be reasons.

And I mean, it's expensive too.

I'm on my own dime to go to

London.

Like I'm going Del Mar.

It would be the next weekend, London,

NorCal.

And then if I do Xenom in June,

and then hopefully the games.

It's your summer, right?

You guys don't have summer school.

No, I teach in June.

I teach all the way until the end

of June.

So basically Xenon happens on the weekend

that I just finished teaching.

So like I think June twenty seventh might

be like a PD day or twenty six.

That's like our last day.

And then we get summer July and August.

OK,

so normally I get like one month to

train for the games where I'm actually

leveled with my competitors like full

time.

Kenneth says, have Jay Birch be your sub.

The problem, Kenneth,

is I don't think Jay Birch speaks French.

Carolyn teaches at a French school.

I'm teaching math in French.

And I think Jay Birch is a history

teacher, which would not help.

He could take my fitness class, though,

if he wants.

Put those people in line.

You're getting so much encouragement to do

it.

But Teresa said, I'm like Carolyn,

can't spend that much PTO next to each

other.

Yeah.

It's not about the seven days because I

have those available.

It's the chunks that are together.

It's like a red flag to the school

board.

What's that?

Give your math students an assignment

comparing your placements using P score,

Z score, and standard score.

And what are the differences?

It's because I have to prepare them for

like their provincial tests.

So it's like a state test.

We do it like in grade three,

grade six, grade nine.

So like,

there's a lot of pressure on like that

one because just it ranks our school very

high.

So I care about that.

When we were kids,

we were told it's not like you can

have a computer in your pocket.

Surprise.

It's a calculator and a translator.

And now they have their watch.

So they're like this on their watch.

Yeah.

So many, so many tricks now.

Um, there was something I missed up here.

Uh, Mark Phillips had my back.

I made a Monty Python joke and he

said,

everybody's too young in this audience to

even get my Monty Python joke.

And then CrossFat came back with Help Me

Out Too.

I'm not dead yet.

Youngsters don't know Monty Python.

I know, it's a shame.

It's a shame, Mark.

Have them math how many years the Leafs

have won.

It's been since the Leafs have won a

cup.

That's some easy math right there.

That's too basic.

That's too basic.

I remember when we used to have to

cheat by writing formulas on the bottoms

of our shoes.

I knew Shannon would have my back with

Monty Python too.

Yeah.

Big numbers are easy when it comes to

the Leafs years.

All right.

So that's it.

That's our show for tonight.

gonna be a wacky week this week guys

i do not know when shows are gonna

come on uh we'll do monday and tuesday

for sure wednesday is when i'm having my

heart surgery yep

And depending on the recovery,

I may be back Thursday.

I'm off work till next Monday.

Okay.

So Wednesday through next Monday,

my real job, my day job.

But I don't know.

It's how I feel.

If I feel good, we'll go live.

I may talk to Corey,

see if he wants to reach out to

Jeremy.

Maybe they can do a show one of

those days.

I don't know.

We'll see.

but that's going to make for an

interesting week this week.

And yeah, thank you.

Good health this on Wednesday.

Yeah.

Good luck.

Hopefully that is it.

Hopefully Wednesday is it,

not it like me gone,

but it like it all fixes it all

up and I'll get the,

I'll get the old Pat Felner done and

then I'll be,

I'll be good to go a week later.

So.

Wishing that for you.

All right, guys.

Don't forget to like and subscribe to the

channel.

Hope everything goes well for you tonight

and into your Monday morning.

We will see everybody next time.

Don't forget to submit your scores.

Yes, submission time.

Noon Pacific, three p.m.

Eastern.

Two for those people in the Central Time

Zone.

Get your scores in tomorrow.

Bye.
